Being an AJC player for this past 2 year is great but after the AMAYzing Migration, everything went downhill from there.
AJC is a meh for me while AJPW is just ok but I recently hated the dens they made for PW because it looks huge and waste of space.
I love AJC so much- AJPW is weird and 3D and their rarity system is poopy imo
I don't have anything against players who like AJPW, and it's not a terrible game either. I just hate that it stole the spotlight (not to mention the name) of AJ Classic.
Also, the rarity system is wack. At least in AJC we have RIM - CB - DB - etc. as ways to measure worths, so items are worth a certain amount of one of those items. Whereas in AJPW, if you search for the "worth" of something it's usually something weird like "Decent-Good Mystical Fairy Amulet" which makes no sense to me. Or maybe the fairy amulet- or whatever it's called- is the new spike.
(I know AJPW is called Animal Jam, but to me, Animal Jam refers to both games and that's rather confusing, so like many others, I go with AJPW and AJC.)
I will never call AJPW Animal Jam, i'm sorry but... its AJPW not Animal Jam stop-
Okay i'll try keeping this unbiased but it looks like most of your opinions ARE biased because of how aj pays more attention to ajpw than they do for ajpc. also i've logged into ajpw several times before but i'm not an active player, i log in for rewards and membership. i'll try judging this without comparing it to ajpc
Graphics: not my favorite, it actually makes me dizzy sometimes when i play it full screen and it seems like they tried too hard to make it realistic
Items: good designs and concepts, obviously graphics are not my favorite but i love that most features are accessible to nms and most items have a lot of depth and a good amount of detail.
Worth system: idk much about it but it's bound to have a worth system and it's bad but worth systems do add more fun imo.
Interactivity: good but from my experience, it feels more like individual interactivity in the game and i'm assuming that it's hard to interact with other players because it looks like most people mind their own business unless they're trading.
Uniqueness: lots of features are unique but a lot of things are inspired by other games, especially the mini games. the graphics are pretty bad but still something you don't see everyday
Accessibility and perks: really good! it's very nice that you can get 1 month membership with sapphires and that you need to work hard for it. also the vast majority of items and some animals are accessible for all jammers (nm and mm) through sapphires so that's really inclusive.
Updates: decent to me, they seem to add new things very often and are active. the updates aren't things that would keep me hooked to the game but it's nice to have new things added and knowing that the creators care about the game. i think the updates would reach target audience (young children) but maybe not teenagers.
Technical stuff: uh, when you first get ajpw on your laptop or phone, it tends to lag or stops loading but the issue stops (for me at least) after you play it for some days.
Overall: I would give ajpw a 6/10 overall. the graphics are a huge factor and that's the biggest issue IMO. the remaining things don't necessarily make you addicted to the game or captivate ME but i'm not their targeted audience so that's understandable. i think they do a good job or catering to the kids who just want to have fun and potentially anyone older who can sort of figure out the systems and find ways to better their gaming experience.
I agree, the graphics are way too 3D in AJPW.
@CherryArrow @Beansand The rarity system on AJPW is confusing because AJC worth is basically measured in how many solids a thing is worth. A solid is basically like a dollar, and RIMs, CBs, and DBs are like coins. You can easily count up the coins into dollars and keep counting in dollars. However, AJPW's rarity system basically compresses worth into a bigger item. It's like saying something is worth 5 TVs instead of $3000, except there's a lot more than just TVs that worth is measured in. I went to the AJPW worth wiki and counted how many different items I saw things being counted in and it was at least 15, and I don't even think I found all of them.
It's pretty okay, i just wish that they put more effort into ajc cuz ajpw has so many cool features :(
Like imagine if ajc pets could do those pet expeditions, that'd be really cool
Or maybe add some other stuff like potions, packs, pack runs, travelling salesman, leilani or some other npc, cool items, design a pet contest, tbh anything that's actually new, even like a new den, new music, non-recolored new items, new eco items, new games/adventures, etc..
Idk i mean at least wild weekends are back but still
I quit a couple months ago anyways so idk
I think its annoying
What do you think?
