I think being able to private chat without jags or jammer walls would require them to change the entire chat interface. in transformice, you can chat in tribes, with individuals, and with the room you're in. the main box has the chat but the left side has the usernames or tribe names of the other chat you're in.
The current chat box in aj is too small so it would look weird if they implemented private chats.
I personally think they should do events like the ones on transformice and fantage but i'll explain it.
Idk if you played fantage but it was a virtual game released in 2008 (I think) and it shut down in 2015.
During the valentines day event on fantage, everyone in the server was essentially split into 2 teams and every player has to collect ingredients for chocolate which appeared throughout the lands randomly. after collecting the ingredients you could make chocolate and the team with the most chocolates after a certain point gets to select a prize from their list of prizes. it's kind of like special delivery but the prizes aren't hidden so everyone knows exactly what prize they want to work towards and they can literally click it instead of selecting a closed chest like on animal jam. this is great in my opinion because some prizes looked cooler than others but they were all worth the same. i also really liked that it was a collective effort!
Also- you could get up to 4 prizes during the event. it wasn't a one day event and the chocolate maker count reset so every team had a chance to win
I really liked fantage's events. i think animal jam should implement events that are more interactive and kind of permeate the entire land and server rather than having a seperate adventure room. regular adventures and the seasonal adventures get boring when you see the same thing for 8 yrs in a row.
I also think any potential events should have item prizes that are new and circulate in and out every few years. animal jam adventures have had the same prizes and most of them only seem to benefit den decorators.
An example on transformice is the recent pirate egg event- basically the event room circled in and out of the rooms every 1 hour. you went to the event room and people had to stand on an egg and spam space. you break eggs and got prizes like coins and badges for playing.
These types of events are very interactive and they give players an incentive to play the game both independently and together. i also like that the events in the other games don't necessarily appear every year, i believe every year they modify the event or brought in new ones.
