The wiki is accurate, people just will likely not accept if they can't profit/it's under/it's not what they're looking for
People who use shops sell the den betas for below values (usually 20 and 30)
If you trade 3nm and 4mm den betas, it should be fair in terms of mixed values trading wise. selling is usually more profitable which is why so many people trade down to dbs so that they can hv a profit margin (in this case, 20 diamonds since 3nm and 4mm would be 170 diamonds)
Then again not everyone uses shops so that's why people will still trade their dbs for spikes/the profit margin doesn't apply to them
If the person declines it's probably js not what they're looking for
4th watered plant
this wiki's discord server has a lot of trade and shop channels you can advertise in, shop and trade attempt channels so you know what to price/buy things at , and worth assistance channels - u can also just ask the chat if you need help
if you ever need sapphires i would be happy to donate enough for a membership if you have a my shop on play wild :)
it's ok!! i'm not really a mod but i am former staff so i did work with these people in the past hence why i know - i believe you can edit your post and blank it if you wish
i don't really think there's harm in asking for any explanation of transparency so long as people aren't spreading rumours. like i said the whole system can be extremely confusing to understand/gain a lot of backlash for 'manipulation' especially since the wiki is not officially run by aj staff/ajc does not have any official guide for 'worths' other than this screenshot (pictured below).
the wiki does abide to this guideline by only counting 'valid shop attempts' as screenshots of ones that have sold, not whatever's sitting in people's shops unsold. all of the shop attempts shared in the discord server are a great help in determining values, so if anyone reading would like to contribute their gameplay and talk to others while you're at it, then this is a great method!!
there are also so many ways you can still get 'rare', if anything it's easier than before since my shops were introduced. currently there's hidden shop items, rare item mondays, the monthly bundle, instagram/jambassador contests (where you can win contest items worth longs), seasonal items, items from the current golden gala II collection and more. many speculate that all of these seem like they will go for quite a lot out of stores (more than a few rims), judging off other variants of the items in the past and because they look visually nice.
they would get you at least a few clothing betas to a den beta per item if you stock up on them and wait for them to leave stores (the end of the month). it can be a slow start, but lots of people are willing to help you out with advice if you're starting from scratch
and on the membership thing, many do not purchase membership, they purchase it with sapphires (free to obtain) from play wild. you can get sapphires from many methods (minigames being the easiest)
Basically everything @Puppygrl said^
"I would genuinely like to know what the conclusion was to come up with this."
I would like to add that the staff on here do not try to come up with these labels with no basis. They are not doing this for their own gain or because they wanted pink to become a good long - I doubt anyone could have predicted this happening to the economy years ago (When black longs were "3 good longs, no blue").
I sound like a preacher with the amount of times i've shared this, but all values on here are changed in consideration and complete reference to the trade and shop attempt channels via the Discord server. Anyone can contribute to this, anyone can view this, and anyone can suggest or debate worth changes that are made (with evidence). It is as transparent as a public resource can be. Thousands of users post their sales (how much something in their shop sells for) and trade attempts (their trades that they accept and decline), and make these screenshots all easily findable to any server member (so that they can also learn what to price their items at and what the current range is, as it can change per day and based on whether you want it to sell fast or not).
I understand that you are confused at such a stable item/mainstream form of currency fluctuating this much, but it would be worse if a pink long was currently selling for 600, red longs are selling for 500, and staff had left it up labelled as a decent long below the good longs. It's not about whether this change is 'unneeded' or not, it's just about reflecting what the present economy is. Think about it like looking up the US Dollar to Euro money conversion. Although all conversion sites will differ minimally, the currency exchange websites are not the main dictator of the values, it's the real-world economy. They are just the platform to display that to the general public, to the best of their ability. The only difference is that this wiki is non-profit and none of the staff or people posting their attempts get paid in ad revenue, clicks, or however else a website would generate money.
Trading can be confusing with thousands of items, which is why the wiki is there as a guide. Ultimately players should learn to get a feel of worth for themselves through resources (attempt channels) and experience by trading and talking to others in order to work their way up if that's how they decide to play the game.
do people believe anything these days
why'd it get locked
if you're selling it en masse with no limitation on copies made, i'd say u could sell for at least 20 diamonds each
it's meant to be 2-3, edited
Not to mention pink longs sell so much faster than blue, so when you’re overtrading you’re also accounting for the time it would take to gain diamonds from it
Diamond profit wise pink longs sell for way more than blue, actually more similar to a purple long, so you’d have to add quite a bit if you’re trading with someone who primarily gets rare off shops
There are not a majority of players who would colour swap their purple longs for pink ones - but this has been done recently a few times
