I think the economy can take some fun away from the game but it needs to be said it's the players who created this economy. Complaining about AJ screwing the economy over is understandable but it's not as though little kids don't play the game for fun along with maybe even older teens or young adults who want to play it for other experiences outside the economy. Yes the economy is fun to you but there are so many rare items that obviously won't come back to stores. One such example would be HDs or the original rare spiked collars and wristbands.

It's been a while since I've played but if I recall correctly the creators sometimes feed into this economy by making more exclusive items such as the contest prizes but demand is pretty much decided by the players.

Also, the original promos simply get a rare tag. You can still distinguish it from newer releases. I see what you all mean because of course the demand for an item is going to go down if we have a 'cheaper' variant that's available but I think it's nice these items are becoming more in number.

But going off of what Kittywoong said about the rings... Yes you pay money to buy the toys that have the codes but there are a lot more items that are worth more than a promo. Those items didn't need you to buy a toy but they're worth more so does that also bother you?

^ Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the rares part of this game? I thought if you liked the economy and the rarity system you'd want to trade without knowing precisely what's going to happen in the future. I don't know much about economics but I think it would be a problem for an economy if people knew exactly what was going to happen to an item in the future (?)

Maybe I'm biased but I find it funny seeing people get screwed over in the worth system when AJ brings some items back. They act so hurt- there's no objective worth to any of these items and you spent time on trading regardless. You still have the fun experience of trading and I think getting a bit screwed over can be a part of the fun

I'd say I have a problem with them rereleasing old items because it's uncreative and old and boring. I also notice some newer items have a weirdly flat undynamic 2D look which make them look lifeless compared to older designs
