This item is a Den Beta, but it is not counted as a Den Beta in trades.
Books are a non-member den item typically referred to as Beta Books. They were sold at Jam Mart during Beta Testing and removed from stores shortly after Beta Testing ended. They were released again during March 2011, and left stores during June 2011.
