The Bow and Arrows were initially released on December 30, 2011, as a gift from the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar. On December 24, 2012, the original variants were given the Rare tag and replaced with the newer, non-rare variants, which were obtainable as gifts from the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar for several years. Despite having been released after the Beta Testing period, the rare variants are widely considered to be "clothing betas" by the Animal Jam community.

Other Variants
The Neon Bow is a variant of the non-rare Bow And Arrows that is exclusively obtainable through The Forgotten Desert. It could be obtained in the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar, during 2021.
The Golden Bow and Arrows are sold in Epic Wonders year-round.
