The Box Head was first released on September 29, 2016, and was previously sold at Jam Mart Clothing during the Night of the Phantoms. It was relocated to the Shiveer Shoppe where it was sold once more during October 2017. The Rare variant was released in Jam Mart Clothing for Rare Item Monday on October 8, 2018. It returned once again in December 2019 and left sometime in January. It returned to stores on October 24th, 2020. On December 17, 2020, the Jamaaliday variant was released as the 17th gift on the Jamaaliday Gift Calendar.
